Comparison

Pilates studios in Kolkata compared (2026)

Kolkata has a growing set of Pilates studios and almost nothing that compares them side by side. This page does — formats, prices where they are published, Google ratings and hours, all checked in mid-August 2026, with our own studio in the table on the same terms as everyone else.

    Who is publishing this

This comparison is published by Renovo Pilates — one of the studios listed below. We have an obvious interest, so we have kept the page to verifiable facts, noted our sources, dated every figure, and said plainly where other studios beat us. Please check every studio's reviews and current details yourself before deciding; the studios are the source of truth, not this page.

    The studios, side by side

Ratings and review counts are from Google Maps, checked mid-August 2026 — they are a snapshot, not a standing claim. Prices are shown only where a studio publishes them or a third-party listing carries them; most Kolkata studios quote on enquiry.

    What the table actually says

Read without a thumb on the scale, a few things stand out — not all of them in our favour:

    • Reflex & Reform has the most reviews (38, at 4.7) — a larger evidence base than any other studio here, including ours.
    • Pulse Pilates has the widest hours — seven days, 7am to 9pm. Renovo is closed Sundays and mid-afternoons; if that is when you can train, Pulse's schedule is simply better for you.
    • The Pilates Studio by Namrata Purohit has the longest heritage — a national brand running since 2011, with the most format options (group, duet and private) and published monthly rates. Its Kolkata Maps rating (3.2 over 13 reviews) is the lowest on the list; both facts belong in the same sentence.
    • Two studios show a perfect 5.0 — Pulse (10 reviews) and Blissful Monkey (25 reviews). Small review bases move quickly, in both directions.
    • Renovo is the only studio here that is exclusively 1:1 — no group timetable at all — and one of the few with published prices and online booking. That is a fact about format, not a claim of superiority: it also makes us one of the most expensive per session.

How to choose, by what you actually need

    • Budget first: a group studio. Per-class group rates in the city run roughly ₹500–900, a third to a half of private rates. Our private-vs-group comparison does the monthly arithmetic.
    • Seven-day or late-evening flexibility: Pulse Pilates has the widest published hours in the city.
    • One-to-one attention — new to Pilates, postnatal, injured, or a condition to train around: Renovo, which is the only exclusively-private studio on the list. Priced accordingly, at ₹1,700 a session.
    • An established multi-format brand: The Pilates Studio by Namrata Purohit, running since 2011 with group, duet and private options — and read its recent Kolkata reviews alongside the brand name.
    • Crowd-vetted and nearby: read the recent reviews at Reflex & Reform, Blissful Monkey and Pilates The CORE Studio, then visit the one closest to you. Proximity is underrated: the studio you can reach easily is the one you will still be attending in March.

Whichever way you lean, do the same three checks: read the ten most recent Google reviews rather than the rating, ask what training the person who will actually teach you has, and confirm the cancellation terms before buying any package.

If Renovo's column fits your need

We are the one-to-one option on this list: private reformer sessions in Ballygunge, prices published, bookable online without a package. If another studio's column fits your situation better, book there — this page is meant to be useful either way.
